FC Andorra received 5.4 million euros during the 2022-2023 season according to data published on December 29 by LaLiga. The Principality club was the second that received the least from the television cast, the last was Villarreal B with 5.35 million.
In total, the second category of professional football distributed 151 million euros in television rights. The clubs that entered the most were those that were relegated in 2021-2022, since they received extra compensation in addition to the rights. Alavés (28.37 million), Levante (28.11) and Granada (23.88) were the ones that earned the most.
The items that LaLiga uses to distribute television rights are divided into: 70% to each club equally, 15% according to sporting merits of the previous campaign and 15% according to “the social implementation of the entities in question.”.
According to the ‘Diari d’Andorra’, the tricolor club will earn a considerably higher figure in this 2023-2024 season.
The FC Andorra squad will do a preparation stage in the Vall d’en Bas, next to Olot, after the Christmas holidays. The concentration will serve to prepare the return to the competition with the first day of the second round against Leganés, current leader, which will be played next Sunday the 14th at the Estadi Nacional. .
