Mikel Arteta has confessed in the press conference prior to the FA Cup match against Liverpool that Arsenal could fully enter the winter transfer market. The team now has up to six casualties: Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Thomas and Timber, injured, and Elneny and Tomiyasu, who must travel to play the Africa Cup and the Asia Cup respectively.
“We are open to different transfer markets, but we emphasize making the most of the players we have. We will work with the club to explore whether there are opportunities and then evaluate our options.”Arteta commented in the press room, although he has not ruled out the possibility that Arsenal ultimately will not make signings in January.
The ‘Gunners’ have been linked with various players in recent weeks. Ivan Toney, Jorrel Hato and Zubimendi have been some of the names that have been most popular to land in London and place himself under the orders of an Arteta who aspires to improve his squad in the coming weeks.
