Best New Movies Added to Netflix This Week: July 8, 2023

Often the first week of a new month means we see a ton of exciting new movies and TV shows arrive. And the beginning of July has not been disappointing. This week has seen many exciting new movies return to the US library.

Titanic (1997)

One of the highest grossing movies of all time, James Cameron is no stranger to multi-billion dollar movies. More than 25 years later, Titanic continues to prove to be one of the greatest movies of the 20th century, and one of the greatest love stories in movie history.

Rose DeWitt Bukater, 101, tells the story of her life aboard the Titanic 84 years later. A young Rose boards the ship with her mother and her fiancé. Meanwhile, Jack Dawson and Fabrizio De Rossi win third-class tickets aboard the ship. Rose tells the whole story from the departure of the Titanic to her death, on her first and last voyage, on April 15, 1912.”


Donnie Brasco (1997)

Cast: Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Michael Madsen, Bruno Kirby, James Russo

Johnny Depp was still in the early years of his career, but Donnie Brasco was an incredible springboard for the actor’s eventual rise to global stardom. Al Pacino, as always, is the best when he’s acting in a gangster movie.

“An undercover FBI agent goes undercover in the mob and discovers that he identifies more with mob life at the expense of regular life.”


The Outlaws (2023) north

This week’s big Netflix Original movie puts a fun twist on the “In-laws are Coming to Town” comedy subgenre.

“A heterosexual bank manager is about to marry the love of his life. When his bank is robbed by the nefarious Ghost Bandits during the week of his wedding, he believes that his future in-laws, who have just arrived in town, are the nefarious Out-Laws.


lightning (2004)

Cast: Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Regina King, Clifton Powell, Harry Lennix

Jamie Foxx won a well-deserved Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his incredible performance as rhythm and blues legend Ray Charles.

They Won’t Get Old (2018)

Adding color and some voice acting to archived World War I footage, one of the most impressive documentaries ever made has given the world a new perspective on the Great War. More than 600 hours of footage from 200 veterans that was archived in the Imperial War Museum archive was used to create the documentary.
