Health begins process to automatically update EU covid certificates

the Ministry of Health recently launched the process of automatic update covid certificates which were issued at the time by the ministry itself and which They will expire before June 30, 2023.

Health automatically sends, via the e-mail provided by users, the notice of availablity of the administrative electronic notification from which the updated CCD-UE can be downloaded and fully valid until the date indicated by current European regulations.

Likewise, the General Secretariat for Digital Health, Information and Innovation in the National Health System of the Ministry of Health has been sending a SMS text message on the mobile phone of people whose CCD-UE was issued by the Ministry and requested by the user in ‘Wallet’ format, already updated.

Thus, anyone who wishes can request your CCD-EU again via the Ministry of Health website, authenticating with a digital certificate.

As you remember, according to the Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2021 on a framework for the issuance, verification and acceptance of interoperable covid certificates for vaccination, diagnostic tests and recovery (EU digital covid certificate, CCD-EU) and, with the aim to facilitate the free movement of people during the pandemic, the Ministry of Health, completing the work of the autonomous communities, issues and delivers these certificates, only in electronic format and only for the modalities of vaccination and recovery. This regulation extends the validity of the certificates until June 30, 2023.
