The City Police seized toys and cosmetic products for an approximate value of 32 million pesos in 19 inspections carried out in the microcenter and in the neighborhood of Once. The articles had no supporting papers and it was investigated whether they were toxic for use. Among what was seized, there was a large quantity of Funko Pop trout dolls.

According to what the Buenos Aires security force itself reported, about a joint work with the Government Control Agency (AGC), the operation was based on hindering the marketing of toys that did not comply with control standards and certificatesas well as products makeup “with danger of toxicity”.

Furthermore, they seized 32,587 balloons that did not have safety documentation to be handled, and whose latex is potentially dangerous for minors due to its toxicity; 115 smoke flares; and 35 apocryphal perfumes using recognized brands.

Minutes were also drawn up for different contraventions to the different locations, of which one was closed for not complying with the necessary security measures and having a qualification that does not correspond to the items marketed.

The authorities reported that the managers of the premises, most of them foreigners, of Chinese and Peruvian nationalities, were notified to appear before Justice, for failing to comply with articles 201 and 289 of the Penal Code, on crimes against health and trademarks. . .
