“I am very concerned about rate increases in public services. To increase them they have to have in-person public hearings and this Government does it virtually and everything is completely distorted. Less than an hour ago The court gave us a precautionary measure. Justice echoed our request.“, expressed the communal chief in dialogue with Radio con Vos.

As read in the judicial document, issued by the Federal Civil and Commercial Court No. 3 to which he accessed ClarionGray planted that “due process and the principle of rationality are breached”since citizen participation is “denatured, to the point of turning it into a mere opinion through a 5,000-character social network comment.”

The only way for people to express themselves regarding the rate increase is the Mi Argentina website, where “the opinions of the participants are non-binding and have a maximum length of 5,000 characters.”

In his request for protection, Gray considered that, in addition to suspending the rate increases, it is necessary “hold a public hearing to guarantee citizen participation”. Judge Ernesto Kreplak agreed with him and stopped the increase.

Earlier, in an interview with A24the mayor of Estan Echeverría had complained: “They make an absolute trout, because what they do is that they invite you to a website where there are queries, you register from My Argentina and you have five thousand characters to express your opinion about the increase. It is a chat where you briefly give your opinion about what is happening, with that they consider the hearing fulfilled and go directly to the increase.”

Fernando Gray, mayor of Esteban Echeverría, and a stop to the increase in bus tickets.

The suspension is “for a period of five daystime during which it must adopt measures aimed at guaranteeing the rights statedreadjusting the citizen participation procedure.”
