captain fall (not to be confused with Adi Shankar’s Captain Laserhawk series scheduled for October 2023) is the new adult animated series from the creators of the hit series Norsemen. Here’s what you need to know about the new series launching in July 2023.
First announced in July 2020, the series received a 20-episode pre-order (to be split into two parts) with Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen helming the project. The duo is best known for Norweigen’s live-action series. scandinavians which lasted three seasons.
Joel Trussell developed the concept along with the creators of Norsemen, with the three serving as executive producers.

speaking to Variety about the project.the Nordic duo stated that the project is like “if the love boatozark and the truman show Had a Cartoon Baby,” adding, “It takes place on a cruise ship and follows a gullible captain who thinks he’s landed his life’s work, but isn’t really aware of what’s going on on the ship. He is the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong.”
The series is set to be a 2D adult animated series (creators compared it to Iron Giant and tintin), and we must bear in mind that the program has been named as Captain Fall Guy in many places on the net.
Described as a “black comedy,” the new series follows a man who finds himself in command of a smuggling ship as a sea captain. The series will have a TV-MA rating with notices of language, nudity, sex, smoking and violence.
Who’s behind captain fall on netflix?
The series is an animation developed in-house at Netflix. However, we have also seen several employees of the Irish studio Boulder Media working on the project (also assisted at Netflix thief cat Brokes & Bones interactive special). His other projects include MLP A New Generation, danger mouse, and Transformers: Rescue Bot Academy.

jason ritter leads the voice cast of Netflix’s new animated series, Captain Fall, as Captain Jonathan Fall himself, described as “a moist-eared but good-hearted sea captain who inadvertently finds himself in command of a smuggling ship.”
Ritter is best known for his work on Goliath, drunken story, Girls, and Paternity. will soon appear on CBS Matlock Reboot. In the voice booth, she has worked on titles like Gravity Falls and sleepyheads.

Netflix has lined up captain fall to debut on Netflix on July 28, 2023. All ten episodes will be released together, each lasting around 26 minutes.
