A new family adventure movie is on its way to Netflix, with a February 2023 release now confirmed. Starring Netflix regular Anthony Mackie, and Strange things’ port david, we have a ghost It will be a fun and great way to help kick off your busy Netflix movie list. Developed under the working title of Ernestothe movie, as we mentioned, develops from a short story published in Vice’s Motherboard originally published on October 19, 2017.

“Ernest the ghost, discovered by the owner of the house who named him so because the apparition seems ernesto borgnine. The owner of the house, Frank, starts filming the ghost of him and posts it on social media for the world to see. Ernest becomes a viral sensation. Frank enlists the help of his high school son, Kevin, to help him be a part of a series of dinner parties held at the house to capitalize on the popularity of the ghost. Things change when Ernest and Kevin disappear and become targets of the CIA.
This follows a recent trend where Netflix buys the rights to stories posted online or news in general. In 2022 we have seen the premiere of The Watcher, a series produced by Ryan Murphy that was inspired by news and has already been renewed for a second season.
The first look at we have a ghost was provided as part of Netflix’s presentation of its 2022 movie slate.
There are three total shots in the trailer, one featuring David Harbor sliding down a car windshield. In the second you have the reaction of the children in the car staring in dismay. In the final shot, Anthony Mackie uses his phone to apparently record something.

When is we have a ghost are you coming to netflix
Previously scheduled to be released in 2022, as you can see in the Netflix 2022 movie preview above, we learned in August 2022 that we have a ghostand many other movies, have been pushed back to 2023.
What’s on Netflix exclusively revealed in January 2023 that Netflix was considering a February 24, 2023 release date for we have a ghost. Netflix, via online empirehe later confirmed the release date.

Who is behind Netflix’s We Have a Ghost?
Temple Hill Entertainment is the production company behind the project.
Christopher Landon assumes writer-director duties with the original author of the Vice piece, Geoff Manaugh, serving as executive producer.
Known mostly for horror and suspense films, Landon just came out directing the sequel to happy death day 2u and, more recently, Weird.

Who will star in Netflix? we have a ghost?
We’ve been provided with a stellar cast here on What’s on Netflix, though we don’t know precisely what role each actor will play.
Here’s who’s involved:
anthony mackie will be back for his ninth (!!) Netflix original project. She recently starred in The woman at the window for Netflix but of course reprising his role as Falcon in 2021 for Disney+ in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Fresh off his appearance on black widow, port david will appear in his fourth Netflix original title.
tig nataro who previously starred in Zack Snyder army of the dead will also appear. Natatro’s role has been confirmed to be that of Dr. Leslie Monroe.
erica rash (Uncle Drew), Jennifer Coolidge (the white lotus), Isabella Russian (crash), Niles Fitch (We are), Steve Coulter (forced marriage), Y faith ford (Hope faith) are also lined up to star.

when and where was it we have a ghost filmed?
Originally, it was reported that filming would start in August and last until September 2021. However, the reality is that filming began on July 19 according to Christopher Landon, and then ended on November 10, 2021.
The project had a 65-day shoot.
