Nuts in dark chocolate food alert from Spain

The Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (aesan) warned about the presence of undeclared almonds in various dark chocolates from Spain.

The body attached to Ministry of Consumer Affairs published a press release in which it is explained that the said ingredient is not specified in the tagged of the product, which is dark chocolate with no added sugar in a 125 gram and 300 gram presentation, of different brands and lots, which contains the almond allergen not mentioned on the label.

As a precautionary measure, people suffering from a certain type of allergy or intolerance to almonds are recommended to refrain from consuming the aforementioned product. However, the consumption of this producer does not involve any risk for the rest of the population which does not present an allergy or intolerance to this dry fruit, specifies Aesan.
