The 18-year-old Corinthians midfielder, who was one of the great revelations of Brazilian football this past season, will finally sign as a player for the Parisian club in the coming days. Moscardo’s signing was about to blow up this week when the president of PSG Nasser Al-KhelaïfiHe assured that his club was considering breaking the agreement with Corinthians, because the footballer, in the medical examination prior to his incorporation, detected an injury to his left ankle (the Brazilian press has spoken of a benign tumor), which will force him to undergo surgery, and will be left in the dry dock for three months.
There was an agreement between clubs: 20 million euros for the transfer, plus two in variables, but, however, nothing had yet been signed. Corinthians took the Qatari leader’s statements as an affront and threatened that if PSG did not sign the documentation until the weekend, the operation would fly through the air and would force the footballer to return to Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian club was very serious, aware that if the Parisian club did not comply with what was agreed, in the coming weeks new ‘girlfriends’ would surely appear for a footballer whose price was rising.. In this sense, we must remember that Deco has tried without success to tie up the ‘Timao’ midfielder whom he sees with a Barça profile.
PSG’s intention was not to take any risks.
