After a brief 21 months, Sex/Life returned for a new season full of lust and drama. We’re still waiting for Netflix to determine the future of Sex/Lifebut if creator Stacy Rukeyser has her way, we’ll be seeing at least one more season in the near future.

Does Sex/Life Do you need a third season?
Yeah Sex/Life creator Stacy Rukeyser has her way, then there will certainly be a third season, and she had this to say;
It’s definitely not meant to be a series finale. I think there are always more stories to tell with these characters,” he says. The baby news, for example, was important in establishing what the next season would be about, Brad and Billie’s blended family. “We’d also go back to the main question of season 1, which is, can you have sex and life at the same time, especially as a new mom?”
What can we expect from a third season?
Rukeyser had more to say about the remaining story of Sex/Life:
This show has always been meant to be escapist and inspirational, to inspire women to really look at their lives and make sure that they’re happy and that they get what they want, that they’re parts of themselves. And I feel like giving them a happy ending is a much better way to inspire women than basically making Billie miserable because she screwed up.
Ultimately, the third season will follow the relationship between Billie and Brad, and how it will evolve throughout Billie’s pregnancy with their baby.
Brad will also have his own challenges with his previous relationship as his wife gave birth to a baby boy but decided to call it quits thanks to his career taking an unexpected setback.

Billie’s ex-husband Cooper had an exciting but tough ride in season two, which almost ended with his death after a car accident. However, it is thanks to the accident that Cooper decided to put her affairs in order, which led him to meet her ex-girlfriend Emily and soon marry her. Next season we get to see the challenges the couple face when Hannah becomes the stepmother to Cooper and Billie’s children.

Yeah Sex/Life is renewed, so we’ll be waiting until at least 2024 for the release of the third season.
21 months passed between the release of the first and second seasons. If the wait for season three is just as long, then fans could wait until December 2024. We’re not sure subscribers will have to wait that long, but for now, we hope Netflix makes a decision about the future of Sex/ Life.
