A long weekend that was designed to enjoy the mountains of Cordova It ended in tragedy. Diego Ivan Lagos (37 years) Laura Carrasco Macedo (35) had traveled from La Pampa to the north, for the carnival festivities. In the Mediterranean province they were surprised by the flooding of a river in Calamuchita, the current swept them away and, one day apart, they were found dead.

They found Lagos first. It was on Tuesday at 10 in the morning, in Los Reartes. He was a police officer and, like his partner, had arrived from La Pampa. This Wednesday, the authorities found his partner, Carrasco Macedo (35), drowned 500 meters from the south bridge of the Los Reartes River. According to the first reports, she was of Uruguayan nationality.

Both had arrived from Santa Rosa, the capital of the Pampas, on February 11. They had been camping since Sunday at the Los Mirlos campsite, in Villa General Belgrano.
