United Nations Pampas police officer was found dead During the morning of this Tuesday in a river in the Calamuchita valley, province of Córdoba, and they are still looking for his companion, who is missing.

The discovery occurred around 10 in the Los Reartes River, in the town of the same name. The body was seen by a group of people passing by that place, near the bridge in the southern sector, and they notified 911.

The victim was identified as Diego Iván Lagos, a 37-year-old police officer from Santa Rosa, La Pampawho had been camping since last Sunday at the Los Mirlos campsite, in Villa General Belgrano, along with Laura Carrasco Macedo, a 35-year-old woman who is presumed to be his partner. The woman, on Tuesday night, was still missing, so a search was carried out along the banks of the river, from the campsite where they were staying to the sector known as La Isla, which is visited by tourists to go bird watching.

The search operation, which covered about six kilometers in length and was carried out by Firefighters and Police personnel, will begin this Wednesday morning.

In parallel, the desperate search continues in Carlos Paz for a 30-year-old man who this Monday afternoon left his bicycle and threw himself into the mouth of the San Antonio River.
