he National Metereological Service issued yellow alerts for storms and occasional hail for areas of thirteen provinces and extreme heat for a large part of Formosa, a portion of Chaco and the east of Salta.

According to the report from the meteorological agency, strong storms are expected for Misiones, Corrientes, Tucumán, Jujuy and a large part of Santa Fe, Salta, Córdoba and San Luis.

Also the east of Formosa and Chaco; Santa María Valley, in Catamarca; the towns of General Juan Facundo Quiroga, General San Martín and Rosario Vera Peñaloza, in La Rioja; and the areas of 25 de Mayo, Angaco, Caucete, San Martín and Valle Fértil, in San Juan.

All areas under alert will be affected by storms, some locally strong, which may be accompanied by occasional hail, intense gusts, strong electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods.

In the coastal area, accumulated precipitation values ​​are estimated between 30 and 70 millimeters; while in the northwest and in Cuyo between 20 and 40 millimeters are expected, and may be exceeded occasionally.

For the inhabitants of these localities, the SMN recommends avoiding outdoor activities, not taking out the trash and removing objects that prevent water from draining, not taking shelter near trees and electricity poles that may fall, and not staying on beaches, rivers. . , lagoons or pools to minimize the risk of being struck by lightning.

Meanwhile, the meteorological agency issued yellow alerts for extreme temperatures for Bermejo, Matacos, Ramón Lista, Patiño, in the province of Formosa; the northwest of Almirante Brown and General Gûemes, in Chaco; and the department of Rivadavia, in Salta.

The yellow level implies that heat can have a “mild to moderate effect on health” and that temperatures can “be dangerous, especially for risk groups, such as boys and girls, people over 65 years of age, with chronic diseases.” . .

How the weather continues in the AMBA

The SMN forecast anticipates that this Thursday the temperature could reach a maximum peak of 29 degrees, with the possibility of isolated storms being recorded in the afternoon (there is a 40% probability).

Meanwhile, for tomorrow a minimum of 21 degrees and a maximum of 28 are expected and on Saturday the thermometer will rise again to 30. That day, again, storms are expected in the afternoon, although the probability is greater (40 70 percent).
