In statements to journalists in Pontevedra, Blanco explained that after agreeing with the Xunta de Galicia to “pool” efforts and means to collect the material that is reaching the Galician coasts, “today a rescue plane and one of the boats“.

“Confirms that it is very difficult practically impossible to locate this material or the bags in the sea“said the delegate, who indicated that these media outlets went out this morning due to the “possibility” that there were remains of pellets floating in Galician waters.

In the next few hours, They will combine flying planes of the means provided by the Government with those that the Xunta de Galicia itself has to continue trying to locate this material.

Pedro Blanco has stressed that the Government also offered train staff who are working on the beachcoordinated by the Galician executive, and the “possibility” of troops on land helping to collect and clean the beaches.

The delegate has maintained that It is in the sandy areas “where it seems to be more optimal do that work”, but from the Xunta “they have told us that they do not need it” and that with the personnel they already have deployed along the Galician coast “they have enough.”

Despite this, Blanco has insisted that the State “is at the disposal” of the Xunta to reinforce with the troops “that are necessary” on the beaches to collect all the pellets that may arrive, so “we are at the disposal waiting for them to tell us if we need anything else.
