Miami picked Love up midway through the season after the Cleveland Cavaliers bought out his contract. He wasn’t getting as much playing with the Cavaliers in 2022-23. In 21 games with the Heat during the regular season, he averaged 7.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
Jimmy Butler had 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 43 minutes. He also injured his ankle in the game but somehow managed to finish despite getting hurt.
Butler’s status for Game 2 is unclear.
