La Cámpora, massismo, sectors of the PJ and the Left will be the political support of the CGT strike

The first general strike against the government of Javier Milei called for this Wednesday by the CGT and the two CTA will be accompanied in the streets by the different tribes that make up Peronism and by the militancy that will also be called by the massismo, social organizations and leftist groups: all will converge in Congress under the motto “The Homeland is not for Sale.”

Of course: the CGT’s decision is that only the Cegetista leaders and the two CTA leaders go on stage. Also possibly Alejandro Gramajogeneral secretary of the UTEP, representing social organizations. There will be no political leaders in the box.

The conclave of the PJ last Thursday at the House of the Province of Buenos Aires, which was headed Axel Kicillof and his Riojan counterpart Ricardo Quintelagave an indication of the support of the Peronist governors for the mobilization that will take place this Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m., in rejection of the violation of social and labor rights that, the organizers allege, would cause the full application of the “deregulating” DNU and the called Bases law.

Close to the Buenos Aires president, they did not rule out that it is part of the march in front of Congress, although they clarified that so far “there is no decision made” about. However, Kicillof himself had admitted last Thursday that “there is a great will to demonstrate” against the Government.

Yes, several Buenos Aires mayors will gather in the vicinity of Parliament. The ultrakirchnerista Pablo Zurro (Pehuajó) even decided to “close” the Municipality this Wednesday so that the workers “can do what they want”, that is, join the strike if they so wish. “They will not be deducted a peso. Only hospital services will be guaranteed,” he stressed and anticipated that during the day he will travel to the Capital to march alongside the union columns.

Senators from Unión por la Patria with heads of the CGT and the two CTA, last week.

His colleagues from the populous first and third electoral sections of Buenos Aires have already committed to mobilizing militancy. Together with Kicillof he showed Lucas Ghi (Fool), Andrew Watson (Florencio Varela) and Jorge Ferraresi (Avellaneda) and mariel fernandez (Dark).

Although it did not have delegates at the meeting that served as the kickoff for a new reconfiguration of Peronism, La Cámpora also announced that it will march from 12 this Wednesday to Congress, with an addition to the strike slogan: “The Homeland is not for sale. “He defends himself.”

And Sergio Massa?

Sergio Massa He was not part of the aforementioned meeting either, but he met last week with the Buenos Aires mayors of the Frente Renovador to make known their support for the protest: thus, they will gather at 12:30 on Avenida 9 de Julio and Córdoba and then march to Parliament. The deputy Cecilia Moreau He told this newspaper that, along with other blockmates, they probably participated in the street protest.

The social organizations based at UTEP, meanwhile, will concentrate on the corner of Callao and Rivadavia. Social and political groups on the left will also be present at the first protest against Milei.

But all eyes will surely be drawn to the columns of the unions that call for a measure of force. The struggle between the leadership of the labor union and the union leaders linked to Kirchnerism has gone through the organization of the event. For the “Fats” of the labor union, the protest is a great opportunity to try to regain prominence in the internal discussion of Peronism.

For the two CTAs, led by Hugo Yasky and “Cachorro” Godoy”, the strike and mobilization will be a tool to put pressure on the Executive amid the tension over the reform of the State that the ruling party has been promoting.
