The National League snapped a nine-game losing streak in the Midsummer Classic with a 3-2 win over the American League All-Stars.
The National League narrowly missed a chance in the top of the seventh inning, but didn’t let one go to waste in the eighth: Colorado Rockies catcher Elías Díaz hit an impressive two-run home run off Félix Bautista, of the Baltimore Orioles, to give to the National. League a 3-2 lead.

It’s only the National League’s seventh win in the Midsummer Classic since 1988: They were 6-27-1 in the previous 34 All-Star Games before Tuesday. The last win was in 2012 (there was no game in 2020).
The 2024 All-Star Game will take place at Globe Life Field, the home of the Rangers.
