Before the State reform project begins to be discussed in Congress, presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni blamed those who oppose the omnibus law for the rise of financial dollars registered in recent days and warned that if the rule is not approved the impact will be greater.

“What we saw only in the financial market, in terms of the exchange rate, is an example of what can happen if we do not accompany what we propose as a policy change,” he said.

On Monday financial dollars will continue the upward trend that they have brought since 2024 began. The cash with liquid (CCL) advanced 5.4% and reached $1,201.5, a new record for this variant, which is the way that companies choose to become dollarized.

At this point, he warned that if Congress does not support the reform presented by Milei and which begins to be discussed today in commissions, the impact on the financial market may be greater. “In the hypothetical case that the law is not approved, the consequences are unpredictable,” she emphasized.

Adorni insisted that “the noise” due to “rumors of disagreement” and protections around aspects of the omnibus law in the workplace impact the financial market.

This Tuesday, the discussion of Javier Milei’s omnibus project begins in Deputies, and the ruling party must seek consensus between the “dialogue” blocks of allies and opponents.

For his part, Martín Menem, president of the Chamber of Deputies, pointed to the Unión por la Patria bloc.

“Unión por la Patria is surely not going to support any project because They are not interested in Argentina changing, because they are still a hundred years behind in terms of their economic and political ideas,” he said in an interview with Continental radio.

In his usual press conference, Adorni insisted on highlighting the consequences that the reforms promoted by the Government will have for the country.

“The decree is in force, what is suspended is the labor part, this made the market take a toll of certain sloppiness, not ours, but of different actors and part of politics,” said Adorni.

The spokesperson pointed out that both the mega DNU and the so-called omnibus law “They are fundamental and necessary pieces to get out of this decline” and spoke of “unpredictable consequences” if the project was not approved by Congress.

In that sense, he listed the high rates of poverty, destitution and inflation and isolation from the world, among other points, which is why he stated that the project proposes profound changes.

“We are living in a decadent situation for a long time and it is difficult for us to understand the position of someone who does not want to change, something that the people legitimately elected and voted for,” Adorni concluded.
