National Police agents have arrested a motorcyclist in Madrid which was recorded driving at 300 kilometers per hour on the M-50 highway, The Higher Headquarters of the Madrid Police reported this Tuesday in a press release.
The investigation began at the end of last February following a complaint from a social media user. In the communication, which was made through the email redabiertas@policia.es, it was alerted of the publication on a platform of a video in which a motorist was observed traveling at 300 kilometers per hour on the Madrid M-50 highway.
The agents of the Central Cybercrime Unit, through the social media profile of the user who published the video, I was able to detect three other posts in which the same biker. committed the same type of infractions.
RECIDIVIST
In the first of the publications, the motorist was observed circulating at a speed of 290 kilometers per hour along the M-50 and in a section that includes the Perales del Río tunnel, reaching over 300 kilometers per hour in some sections.
Another publication uploaded by the same user showed that the same motorist was traveling at 213 kilometers per hour on the A-42 highway, heading towards Madrid. In a third video that appeared on the same account, the motorist could be seen traveling on the M-50, at a speed of 290 kilometers per hour.
The fourth of the videos that the agents detected showed the motorist circulating on a section of the A-42, from the Plaza Elíptica towards Madrid center, at a speed of 115 kilometers per hour in a section limited to 50 and 280 per hour where the speed limit is set at 90 kilometers per hour.
Investigators were able to determine that the motorcycle that appeared in all the videos was the same and that the driver was riding it. with the license plate folded inwards to prevent identification.
After various inquiries, the agents identified the social network user who published the videos, which included a motorcycle in his name of the same make and model, which was arrested in the Madrid town of Parla as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes against road safety that appeared in the publications.
