What’s new on Netflix and the 10 best movies and series: February 3, 2023

It is the weekend! Welcome to your final daily roundup of what’s new on Netflix for the week, where we’ve got 13 new releases to cover and see which movies and series are trending in the top 10.

In case you missed it, Netflix added 35 new movies and shows for the first of the month, including some amazing new movies. Speaking of movies, we’ve selected some of the best of the week here.

On the elimination front, today is your last day to see Dragon Heart: Vengeance (2020) which comes out at midnight tonight. Also leaving Netflix this weekend is the 2021 film, paper tigers what we recommend cobra kai fans in particular.

Currently, there is only one title planned for the weekend in the form of the SVOD debut of the Sony film. Lyle, Lyle’s Crocodile.

Based on an incredible true story, this film follows Jessica Watson, who sets out to become the youngest person to sail solo, nonstop, and without help around the world.

Reviewing the film for What’s on Netflix, Andrew Morgan ultimately concluded that the film had some nice moments, but did not give it a watch rating, saying, “Jessica Watson’s story is worth a watch, but may feel too generic as a film. “. product for a large part of its target audience”.

Yesterday the spin-off of on my block called freeridge. Set in the same location, the show has a few other spiritual connections to the main OMB show, but ultimately focuses on a new group of teenagers navigating life.

Netflix has been trying to turn some of its biggest titles into localized versions for other markets. We have seen money robbery exported to South Korea for example and a lot of reality series. Then it is the turn of Elite to be translated and hopefully be big for Netflix India audience (and the world).

Consisting of 8 episodes, the series will follow three students from a slum who join an exclusive high school for the elite of Delhi where dark secrets and rumors ultimately lead to a murder.

Suchin Mehrotra for the Indian medium, movie buddyhe called the series “deeply frustrating” and a “much missed opportunity”.
